Completely blessed, and forever thankful for what I have in my life~

Update - Nywele's Argan Oil Oil Treatment
Okay! I have been keeping an eye on my stats looking at which one of my posts get looked at the most, and so far it's the Nywele's Argan Oil, Oil Treatment one which hasn't really made a big appearance. I think it's because it's still a fairly new product brand and that not a lot of people know about it? I went to the website that they posted on their bottle, but it isn't even the right website!
So hopefully me letting you all know about this product will get people to either try it, or just not get into using this product at all.
As you all may have read, I dyed my hair today and instead of using the Moroccanoil Oil Treatment that I always use on my freshly dyed, shampoo/conditioned damp, towel dried hair, I used the Nywele's one instead. In my opinion the oil does help a lot with the detangling and helps to moisturize it even more, and then I sprayed the TRESemme's heat tamer spray all over my hair, combed through and blow dried it. It really helped keep my hair from breaking/snapping off as much, and it also made it shiny.
I still hate the weird paraffin-like smell of this product. They should really make this product smell better because to a lot of people this product can be a real turn off.
Also, I will be going on a 3.5 month vacation soon in around October, and I already brought product that is meant for the extreme humidity, and where I will be going is very humid! Warm ocean currents keep the country humid all year round especially because I will be living by the coast! If only I could stay in the inland areas, but oh well I'll have to see about that when I get there eh?!
So, that being said I will be doing more reviews on the hair products specially meant for the humidity when I get there and I'll definitely let everyone know about this product later on too because I will be bringing it with me, along with my Moroccanoil oil treatment product too!
So good luck, and enjoy your day/night wherever you are!
I hope that you all will come and see more of my upcoming posts soon! Please bookmark my blog page on your web browser so then you can always check back weekly to see if I have any new awesome reviews, tutorials or advice on hair and more! I will definitely be doing a "haul" blog post later on for sure, so stay tuned for that! And please by all means, spread the word about my blog! I will be much appreciated if you can! You guys are awesome!
Ciao for now!
Review - L'oreal Excellence HiColor Reds for Dark Hair Only -- Shade H9 RED HOT
Hello again!
So, it's that "time of the month" again for me as in I have to re-dye my hair! Because of my awful roots that are starting to show again! As you all know, I dye my hair red continuously, so I don't change my color like some people who go from brown, to blonde, to red, to black and then they freak out because they can't get rid of the black.
You have probably seen my other previous posts, I did a transparent dye treatment which is basically a cellophane hair gloss treatment meant to give shine and somewhat "tone" down your intense shades if they are too intense for you. Also, they help to prolong your colour too.
So I am going to show you how I go from this:
To this:
Before I begin, let me tell you about the "history" of my hair! I'm going to be using a shade that I used a lot a while ago when I went from my golden brown hair colour, to using "golden brown" henna (which made my hair red) and then to a somewhat brownish-red colour to match the faded henna colour, and then to the red hot which I have used after. If you all know, that COLOUR DOES NOT LIFT COLOUR! And I found that out the hard way because my roots I had dyed with the brownish red colour I bought from Shoppers Drug Mart, and then when i dyed my hair with the red hot shade from the l'oreal excellence brand from Sally's (more higher end dye) it didn't lighten the already dyed hair so I basically had to keep on re-dying it over and over again, month after month and now it's been about a year? Maybe less, and my the dark patches have now faded, and the red is starting to really take over. It was either bleach it out which probably would have been worse since I had hennaed my hair, or just keep on dying it over and over like what I did now a days.
Okay! So let me tell you what you will need if you want to achieve the desired shade!
note: applying this dye on virgin hair (never before dyed hair) will result in a more uniform colour than dying it over previously coloured hair.)
You will need:
- Shade H9 RED HOT from L'Oreal (you can buy it at sally's)
- Gloves
- 30 or 40 vol. developer (I personally use 30 vol because I don't want to kill my hair)
- Mixing Bowl
- Applicator Brush
- Plastic shopping bag OR a disposable plastic head wrap, or cellophane (saran wrap) to
help keep the heat in your hair, and to get the colour to come out better.
- Vaseline or petroleum jelly. Trust me you will want to put this on your hairline and
anywhere where you think the dye will touch your skin! With reds, they stain! And will
take a few days to wash out of your skin!
- A good shampoo and conditioner
- Heat protectant
- Hair Oils
Optional!
Old T-Shirt
Hair dying cape
I personally just use an old t-shirt, or I just do it with nothing on me, and the dye would be touching my bare back...
So basically I just took the cap, punctured the seal on the tube and squeezed it out. As you can see from the picture below, I already squeezed out the dye and I have another tube of which I will be squeezing out again.
Caution - this stuff smells really weird!
So I didn't show the picture of me squeezing out the red intensifier that came with the tube, it's a .10 fl oz tube of pure red pigment which I added to make the red more "intense" so to say, and then I measured 5 fl oz of the ion sensitive scalp developer and poured it into my mixing bowl, and then I mixed it all up! So basically the end result is this! very red dye!!
So I wasn't able to document me putting the dye onto my roots because when your hands are covered in blood red dye, it's kind of hard to take pictures with your phone without worrying about it getting dirty, messed up etc.
I basically started to put my hair into a half up half down kind of style, and I started from the very bottom of my head, focusing on the roots mainly, and then sectioning again, and putting the colour mainly on the roots! I did this all the way from bottom to top! It was somewhat grueling because I started to sweat a lot, and I had to constantly wipe my face which i didn't like to do too much but it was worth it!
I also combed each section after I finished dying just so the dye can spread out a bit more, and then when I was done colouring my roots, I gently combed through with my wide tooth comb again, and used my fingers (with gloves on of course) and then after that I just put a plastic bag on top of my head, and let the heat do its magic!
Personally, I just use the bag that I got from sally's beauty supply, you can use a plastic hair cap, or cellophane/saran wrap, but I just use whatever is easy for me. And then I let my hair develop for about 20 minutes!
After having the colour develop on my head for 20 minutes, I then took the remaining dye that was left in my mixing bowl, and distributed it all over the length of my hair! Then I left it on for about... 10-20 more minutes, and this is what the final result is!
I just used the same pic above haha. But this time i turned on the flash because it was getting dark outside, plus the colour takes a few hours to really show its true colour! Well, on my hair it does anyways . . .
I know the next day, it will be a lot brighter and when I wash it in a few days, it will look a lot brighter too!
Overall, this product is amazing and I do love how it's very nice and intense looking! I personally prefer the "red" shade from the L'Oreal HiColor HiLights one because it looks SO much more of the nice rich red that I like, but who knows maybe this shade will be somewhat like the red shade that I used before too! We'll just have to wait and see! I'll definitely make an update around next week.
With so much hype about this product, and that it is actually true to its shade, I will def have to give this product a 5/5! It's a little pricey, about $7-$8 CAD depending on if you have the beauty club card or not, but in the end it is well worth it!

Review - TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray
Hello again everyone!
I was pretty excited when a lot of people read my blog post on the Nywele's Argan Oil! I was pretty happy considering it was my very first post that I have ever made on this blog and I still use the oil!
Now, I am going to be doing a review on this product called TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray!
So a lot of you have probably heard about this product! It's been out on the market for a while, and I have used this product for many many years!
For those who don't know, I probably haven't mentioned this before... or have I?
I tend to switch up my products constantly! I usually buy products that are in a large bottle, and I buy 3-4 different kinds of hair products that I use when I am blow drying, or styling my hair with a flat iron, curling iron etc and that's what seems to work for me. I find that switching my hair products helps, because people do say that your hair does get used to the same product after a while, blah blah blah. . .
Anyways, enough about my little splurge I'll get started on telling you about this product!
Okay, so if you don't know about this product you are probably one of those people who live under a rock ! Maybe. . . but this product is a miracle when you used it for the first time because it says on that back that it makes your hair soft and incredibly shiny! Personally, I don't think it makes my hair shiny it just makes it very soft which I like.
Everyone wants shiny hair ! If you haven't read my other blog on tips on how to make and keep your luscious locks healthy and shiny, when you heat style your hair a lot, it becomes dull--sadly.
Alright, so now I'm going to tell you about what I like and dislike about this product!
The one thing I love about this product is that it smells AMAZING! I think it's like a green apple smell? I don't know if they changed the smell since I just recently started using this product again after a couple of months. Yes I know I'm doing a review on a product that I used a while ago, so I know what this product basically can do.
In my opinion, this product helps protect my hair from the flat iron. I personally wouldn't use this for blow drying your hair. I did it once, and I didn't like it because I found that when you are putting this liquidy spray-like product on your damp/wet hair, it doesn't "absorb" as well in my opinion so that's why I usually use oil-based products like the Nywele, or the Moroccanoil Oils for blow drying my hair, and it also helps with the frizz... somewhat. Because my hair gets super frizzy after I blow dry my hair, I decided that letting my hair air dry would be better, and it works! My hair isn't AS frizzy as if I did blow dry it.
Wow, I digress a lot ha ha!
Anyways, I'm going to tell you about the BAD side of this product.
What I don't like about this product is that this has a very wide misty spray kind of thing... like when I spray it especially if it's near my face, it seems like a lot of the spray just hits my face and then i get annoyed because when it dries, I feel like that it is going to clog my pores or something and then I start to get worried because my skin is oily-acne prone skin type and it breaks out easily.
Also, it seems really wet if you spray it more than 2 times in one section. But I usually section my hair and then spray it, comb through once or twice, and then wait about 10-15 seconds and then I comb through it again once, and then I run my straightener or curling iron through it.
Keep in mind that I hardly EVER curl my hair except for if I'm going out for halloween... or if I am super bored at home and I have nothing better to do, so I would just try curling my hair because I think it would be pretty fun to try out different curled hairstyles.
But I always straighten my hair. Almost everyday.
Anyways, I do recommend this product to anyone who is on a tight budget because this product I bought at my local shoppers drug mart store for only $4.00 and it was on sale! Normally it's like $7.00 CAD? I know at other stores, it is cheaper, and for the people in the united states, it's like $3.00? It's a lot cheaper in the states in my opinion, but here in Canada, it's not as cheap.
Plus its a basic heat protectant meant for all hair types.
Anyways, I personally give this product a 4/5 mainly because it works so well, and I love it!
Hopefully you all will enjoy it too!

Review - Transparent Hair Dye -- Ion Brand
Hello again.
I'd like to say that I really hate the way this editing page is setup because I lost a shiz ton of information I put on here! Grrrrrr!!!!
Anyways, on my other post that I made on about taking care of your hair, and tips on how to get your hair to ACTUALLY grow, and I mentioned that I made a post on transparent hair dye. So here it is!
Now the one that I use is by ion, and I bought it at my local sally's beauty supply store. It was about... $6 CAD? Somewhere around that price range for me because I have a beauty club card, and this one is a demi-permanent rather than a semi. Unfortunately, they do not have a permanent one because it's just a shine dye after all. It's main purpose is to make your hair extremely shiny for about 20-25 washes I believe, so it does wash out after a while and then you will have to do it again.
As you can see from the photo above, I used a 10 volume developer to mix with the demi-permanent dye. Do not use a volume higher than a 10 volume developer! No matter what the people tell you! Demi-permanent dyes are only meant to go DARKER or refresh the colour you used with a perment dye before. Also, 10 volume is considered "neutral" which is only meant to deposit the colour into your hair, unlike 20 and 30+ volume developers the 10 will NOT lighten your hair no matter what.
If you mix this dye with a 20 or 30+ volume developer, the developer will "overpower" the dye and in turn not work out. The dye will not appear on your hair. This means, you wasted your money on the dye and developer.
As you can see from the photo above, this is what the tube looks like. Shiny, and in my opinion-- aesthetically pleasing.
So this is a picture of me squeezing the dye out onto my bowl. You can see that I had poured the entire content of the bottle out already. This dye is a 1:2 ratio type of dye, as in you mix 4 oz developer to 2 oz of dye.
So after saturating my hair with this dye, this is what your hair should look like after applying the dye to all of your hair. I was scared that I didn't have enough dye, because I used up all of the dye even when I mixed it with the entire 4 oz bottle of developer, and I still had some dry spots, which were okay because I gently combed through and covered up all of the dry spots.
After that, I waited about 30-45 minutes for it to process. You don't have to wait this long, you can rinse it out after 20-25 minutes. Just be sure to shampoo and condition your hair after.
So this is the end result. I did this application at night, and then waited till the morning when I just took a picture with flash, and in my opinion there isn't much shine... my hair does feel really smooth though, that's probably because the peroxide and the dye helped to get rid of all of the buildup from the silicones that I use on my hair to make it shiny.
I probably did this wrong too? I probably should have just conditioned first and then shampooed lightly and then conditioned again, and it probably would have turned out a lot better. I don't know.
Overall, I think this product is "okay" I'd rate it a 3/5 because I don't really notice that my hair is a lot shinier than it was before... maybe next time when I do a shine treatment, I'll condition it first and shampoo and condition again after.

Long Hair Care - Taking Care of Your Lucious Locks!
Hello everyone.
I'd like to talk to you about taking care of your hair! A lot of you may have long hair, or are wanting to have long hair. I will be giving advice on how to getting long hair, and on how to take care of your hair!
As you may know, that I do have long hair myself.
As you can see from the photo above, is a picture of my long hair. Sorry if the picture doesn't look the best, I did take it with my iPhone after all...
Basic info about EVERYONE'S hair
Alright, so I am pretty sure that you all know that hair is made out of keratin proteins. For those who do not know what keratin is, is basically what hair is made out of... I know, I'm repeating myself, but it's simple! Everyone has different hair types, but no matter what-- everyone's hair is made from keratin.
For people who want to grow out their hair, or already have long hair, but isn't AS healthy as you want it to be, you'll want to follow these tips.
Tip #1
GET REGULAR TRIMS!
For all who do not know about this, but if you don't cut at least half an inch of your hair off every 4-6 weeks, you will find that your hair is just getting really damaged, dried and looks like it is going to break off at the ends. For those who heat style their hair like me, you all know about those awful split ends! You will probably see those dumb products that companies advertise like the joico k-pak
split end mender, tresemme split end sealing serum, and much more is obviously a bunch of mumbo jumbo!
These products contain adhesive glues, and what not that basically just "stick" the split ends together and then they either wash out of the hair when you shampoo it, or just stick there and build up and build up more and more every time you apply it onto your ends, and in the end your hair will break off. Cutting those split ends is the only way to remove those split ends permanently. Now you will find that after a month or so, your ends will become split and dried again. If you heat style your hair, you know this will happen no matter what products you use. You can use all of the products in the world on your hair, and it will not prevent split ends from occurring.
Tip #2
Don't wash your hair as much!
You don't have to wash your hair every single day just to keep it clean. It's good to have those natural oils come from your roots and make it's way down to the shaft of your hairs. Our body does not produce these natural oils for nothing. I wash my hair max 2-3 times a week! You don't need to wash your hair more than that! If you dye your hair red like me, you will know what I mean. Washing your hair strips it of its natural oils, which lubricate the shaft of your hairs and thus prevent it from drying out.
Tip #3
DO NOT USE SULFATE SHAMPOOS!
For those who do not know what sulfates are, sulfates are basically "cleansing" agents used in laundry detergents, dish soaps and a lot more household cleansers. They basically foam around oils, and dirt etc and then carry it away when you are rinsing your hair out under the water in the shower. They cut through grease very efficiently. Dish soaps are LOADED with sulfates! SLS, SLES, ALS, ALES etc. Shampoos mainly have water as their first ingredient, and then the second ingredient is usually "sodium lauryl sulfate", "sodium laureth sulfate", "ammonium laurl sulfate", or "ammonium laureth sulfate" Sodium lauryl(eth) sulfates are bad for your hair and scalp mainly because the particles are really small that they are able to slip through your scalp, and irritate your scalp and entering your nervous system causing your scalp to shed, and flake.
This makes your scalp become dry because of it. Ammonium lauryl(eth) sulfate shampoos basically are the same, except the ammonium particles are MUCH bigger than the sodium particles which is good because they do not penetrate your hair as easily as the sodium lauryl(eth) sulfate shampoos. Either way, both ingredients are not good for your hair. Some say that sulfate shampoos cause your hair to fall out, and are known to cause HAIR LOSS!
Hopefully this picture above will let you all know that if you continue to use a sulfate shampoo, it will make your hair really bad in the future!
Tip #4
Use sulfate free shampoos!
Personally, I don't use live clean but almost all of my friends who care about their hair do! I use a different shampoo that's called "One n' Only" argan oil moisturizing shampoo meant to protect your colour treated hair, and also moisturize your hair and scalp!
Live clean I've heard also does the same, but I cannot guarantee that because I have not tried it yet. After I finish my one n' only argan oil shampoo, I will definitely use the live clean brand next!
Anyways, I will not digress anymore. Sulfate free shampoos are SO much more gentler on your hair and scalp because they don't have sulfates! Sulfates strip your hair of its natural oils and if you have colour treated hair, it will strip your hair of the dye too! People who dye their hair red beware of not using sulfate free shampoos! Use a sulfate free shampoo!
If you use a sulfate free shampoo, your hair and scalp will definitely thank you! Another brand I am highly aware of are: Pureology, and Sudzz.
All sulfate free shampoos are meant for colour treated hair unless the package says so otherwise.
You probably will find that sulfate free shampoos don't suds up as much as a sulfate shampoo. This is because the sulfates are what make those rich, foamy, lathering suds! Don't worry, your hair is sill getting clean from the sulfate free shampoo. You just wont get those rich suds.
Again, I will also try out the pureology shampoo next and do a review on it later on!
Tip #5
Use good conditioners, and do a deep conditioning mask once every week!
This is important people!
I currently use the AG conditioner, which apparently seals the cuticle and infuses your hair strands with rich vitamins and proteins which will help keep your hair in good shape.
If only my bottle of this conditioner came with a pump... boo.
I also use the matrix biolage deep conditioning treatment once a week, and I leave it on for a good 5-10 minute while I am scrubbing down my body in the shower. Removing those dead skin cells feels awesome because you're removing all that dirt, and maybe tanned skin cells from while you were outside!
Anyways, after that I rinse it out well and then I squeeze out my hair gently and then put my hair up into a towel turban, and let it stay in there for about 1 hour? Maybe more, maybe less. I don't know. I just know that I keep it on for a long time.
Tip #6
WASH YOUR HAIR IN COLD WATER!
Everyone should know this.
Washing your hair in cold water from the shampooing to the conditioning to the deep conditioning stages will make your hair a lot shinier! Cold water, just like conditioner closes the hair cuticle causing the cuticles to lay flat, and in turn create a larger surface area for your hair to reflect the light, thus making your hair a LOT more shinier.
When you wash your hair with warm or hot water, it damages the hair cuticles by opening them up, and when your hair cuticles are open, it allows moisture, from the air to enter your hair shaft which isn't good especially because it will lead to frizz, and if you straighten or curl your hair, and not use any silicone or any finishing product on your hair, the cuticles will open up again, thus ruining all that time you spent doing your hair. Bad hair days aren't good. Just saying.
Tip #7
Transparent hair dyes!
I did a transparent hair dye treatment on my hair today, and I will post the link to my blog here.
A lot of people who want shine that is OUT OF THIS WORLD, should definitely use this. You can buy them at your local drug store... my other post has everything you need to know about the transparent hair dyes.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed reading my post. I hope you will take all of this into account. I will post tutorials on how to make your own DIY hair mask, and trust me the results the hair masks do to your hair are phenomenal. Treat your hair as if it is a baby! Because if you don't take care of your hair, it will look dry, damaged, dead, and lifeless!
Good luck and enjoy everyone!

Review - Hairart H3000 Flat Iron
Hello again!
Normally I would make a post every day because I just love blogging so much, but I recently was faced with more depression problems which brought my mood down, which in turn prevented me from blogging.
Anyways, with that aside I am feeling much better now and today I will be doing a review on the straightener that I have been using for the past two and a half years now!
As you can see from this picture to the left hand side of this page, this straightener has been good to me for over two and a half years! Which is incredible, because the very first straightener that I've had completely sucked because it was a cheap Revlon baby straightener meant for short hair which was great at the time, because I was growing my hair out. Then, after that I bought the Avanti flat iron which... wasn't good... and then the CHI flat iron which I absolutely LOVED, but it broke within 6 months :( I wasn't happy especially since it costs me about $200 just for the straightener which was supposedly the best in the market. Apparently it wasn't the best for me because it broke.
So then, from that day on I bought a new flat iron which is my current hair art one! I love it a lot! It was also $200 in Canadian Dollars too, and I honestly believe that it is well worth the price! It is part ceramic and part tourmaline which is great when it comes to the frizzies and the damage.
Now that I have told you about this straightener, I want to tell you more about ceramic and tourmaline.
For all who do not know about ceramic and tourmaline in straighteners now days is that ceramic retains its heat well and doesn't fluctuate as much compared to copper or other metal straighteners. Yes, metal used to be put in flat irons and they wreaked havoc on people with fine hair or on anyone's hair in that matter.
While I was on Folica.com, I checked out the ceramic straighteners and on one straightener that uses ceramic plating, here are the benefits listed below!
As you can see from above, tourmaline straighteners basically have the same properties as ceramic straighteners. Tourmaline is a crystal, while ceramic is not. Both say that they will eliminate frizz and cause less damage, and preserve more moisture but that will only be true IF you use a good heat protectant. As you all know, I use either the Nywele Argan Oil, or the Moroccanoil Oil Treatment as my heat protectant. It does a great job with keeping the moisture in my hair, and when I straighten it I don't feel like my hair is super dry because I know that using a good heat protectant and a good straightener will help protect my hair from a lot of damage.
That said, with all the good things about this straightener said and done, you must ALWAYS get a trim! I cut my hair every 1-2 months prior to colouring my hair again because with those damaged, dry, dead ends, I want to keep my ends in a good healthy condition. Damaged ends = not pretty.
Alrighty! Now it's time for the BAD side of this straightener!
I truly love this straightener, I really do. BUT, there are tons of cons that I have to say about this straightener.
This straightener, is NOT dual voltage. I figured that out last year when I brought this with me to Italy and I plugged it into my voltage adapter thing, and when I had the adapter set on low, it took FOREVER to heat up. Yet, when I set the voltage adapter to high it started vibrating. I immediately thought to myself "Wtf?! This is supposed to be a straightener! Not a vibrator!" So I was extremely scared because it was vibrating! But at least it heated up and I was able to straighten my hair, so as long as I got my hair straightened without it exploding or blowing up on me I felt okay. Just by the time I got to Rome, I just gave up. i didn't want to have my hand vibrating every time I was straightening my hair so I basically just left it natural.
ANOTHER con about this straightener is that it doesn't keep your hair straight in the Italian humidity. As you all know, Italy is a peninsula that extends out into the center of the Mediterranean Sea, and where there is a large body of water, there is a large amount of moisture. Even with my hair oils, the moisture still made my hair not stay straight for long.
That was a hard core bust for me, but over all this product is awesome! I use it almost everyday when I don't blow dry my hair straight with a paddle brush, and definitely when I am letting my hair air dry because my hair isn't naturally pin straight. It used to be...
If you bought this straightener in North America, don't expect it to work well for you when you travel to a different country that doesn't have 120 voltage.
Anyways, without anymore of my rants on how bad this straightener was to me in Italy, I give this straightener a 4/5 only because it has been so good to me for over 2 years in Canada.

Ceramic Heat
- Moist ceramic heat with ceramic plates and coils.
- Ceramic will maintain even temperature all the times.
- Ceramic will produce negative ions.
- Seals the cuticle.
- Locks in hair color and retards fading.
- Ceramic heat will ensure the penetration of the silk molecules to the hair.
- Traditional copper coil can cause more damage and dry the hair.
Tourmaline Ceramic Hair Straightener's distributes heat across the entire surface evenly, retains heat more efficiently, and eliminates damaging hot spots. Ceramic emits a natural source of negative ions and far infrared heat that helps your hair
1. Preserve more moisture within the hair shaft
2. Eliminates frizz and close the cuticle to create smooth and shiny hair
3. Causes less damage to the hair cuticle during styling

Review: AG's Liquid Varnish smoothing polish
This product is one of my favourite products when it comes to shine and humidity. As you all may know from my previous posts that my hair does not stay straight in the humidity. Especially if I don't apply a finishing product on after!
So before I begin telling you about the pros and cons about this product, I'd like to give a heads up notice saying that this product is basically all silicone! I know there are a lot of people who are not a big fan of silicone based shine serums because silicones aren't easy to remove, especially if you are using a sulfate free shampoo. I suggest that if you are going to buy this product, you should use a clarifying shampoo every month just to get rid of all the build up. I personally don't use clarifying shampoos anymore because I dye my hair red continuously, so using a clarifying shampoo defeats the purpose of keeping in the colour.
For those who want to know the ingredients and what the back of the bottle says, I will post it below.
Smooths split ends and calms frizz by sealing and protecting the hair cuticle and polishing hair to a brilliant shine. alcohol free and non-oily. Directions: work a few drops through damp or dry hair, paying particular attention to frizzy or split ends.
INGREDIENTS: CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, DIMETHICONE, CYCLOPENTRASILOXANE, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, PARFUM/FRAGRANCE.
So as you can see from above, this product is basically silicone based, but it is alcohol free which is great for a lot of people who don't like hair products with alcohol in them!
Pros
So the pros of this product is that the shine is extreme! I love shiny hair, and having your hair dyed all the time really can decrease the shine in your hair which really is a downer. Also, it didn't mention this on the back of the bottle but this product is a UV protectant in a way because since it is a silicone based product, and the silicones work by coating your hair strands not allowing anything to come in or go out of the strands, this makes it an ideal UV protection. I really like the fact that this product is a UV protectant because as you all know, people who dye their hair a lot and spend a lot of time outside especially during the summer months have to deal with their hair colour fading or just starting to look dull, and not pretty.
Also, another pro about this product is that it has a nice light smell to it! I don't like products that have a really strong smell because I do get headaches from some products that I use.
Cons
So now that you have heard the Pros about this product, I'd like to tell you about the cons.
The cons about this product is the price. Depending on the size of the bottle, I have the 12 fl oz bottle, but there is a lot smaller bottle size which is more of a travel size bottle. This bottle costs me about $50 Canadian dollars? While the smaller travel sized bottle is about $20 Canadian Dollars. Personally, I bought the larger 12 fl oz bottle because it was "cheaper" so to say than the smaller bottle. You get more for the price in my opinion.
Either way, the price is a con for me because if I run out of this product, I will need to save up the money to buy it again. I do love this product, I just wish it wasn't super expensive.
Also, another con about this product is that if you don't like greasy, super shiny oily looking hair, you may not like it. I personally like it because the oilier looking my hair is, the shinier it is and the more it weighs my hair down.
OVERALL
This product is great, especially great for people who have a problem with frizz! You can use hair oils too as a frizz control kind of thing, but silicone based products like this one also keeps your hair shiny, smooth and frizz free! Plus, it doesn't really absorb into your hair as easily as hair oils do so you will always get that extreme shine lasting all day compared to oils where they just absorb into your hair making it soft, and giving some shine.
So without further ado, I have to rate this product a 5/5 mainly because it is great for giving shine, taming frizz, and is very humidity resistant!
