Hello again everyone!
I was pretty excited when a lot of people read my blog post on the Nywele's Argan Oil! I was pretty happy considering it was my very first post that I have ever made on this blog and I still use the oil!
Now, I am going to be doing a review on this product called TRESemme Heat Tamer Spray!
So a lot of you have probably heard about this product! It's been out on the market for a while, and I have used this product for many many years!
For those who don't know, I probably haven't mentioned this before... or have I?
I tend to switch up my products constantly! I usually buy products that are in a large bottle, and I buy 3-4 different kinds of hair products that I use when I am blow drying, or styling my hair with a flat iron, curling iron etc and that's what seems to work for me. I find that switching my hair products helps, because people do say that your hair does get used to the same product after a while, blah blah blah. . .
Anyways, enough about my little splurge I'll get started on telling you about this product!
Okay, so if you don't know about this product you are probably one of those people who live under a rock ! Maybe. . . but this product is a miracle when you used it for the first time because it says on that back that it makes your hair soft and incredibly shiny! Personally, I don't think it makes my hair shiny it just makes it very soft which I like.
Everyone wants shiny hair ! If you haven't read my other blog on tips on how to make and keep your luscious locks healthy and shiny, when you heat style your hair a lot, it becomes dull--sadly.
Alright, so now I'm going to tell you about what I like and dislike about this product!
The one thing I love about this product is that it smells AMAZING! I think it's like a green apple smell? I don't know if they changed the smell since I just recently started using this product again after a couple of months. Yes I know I'm doing a review on a product that I used a while ago, so I know what this product basically can do.
In my opinion, this product helps protect my hair from the flat iron. I personally wouldn't use this for blow drying your hair. I did it once, and I didn't like it because I found that when you are putting this liquidy spray-like product on your damp/wet hair, it doesn't "absorb" as well in my opinion so that's why I usually use oil-based products like the Nywele, or the Moroccanoil Oils for blow drying my hair, and it also helps with the frizz... somewhat. Because my hair gets super frizzy after I blow dry my hair, I decided that letting my hair air dry would be better, and it works! My hair isn't AS frizzy as if I did blow dry it.
Wow, I digress a lot ha ha!
Anyways, I'm going to tell you about the BAD side of this product.
What I don't like about this product is that this has a very wide misty spray kind of thing... like when I spray it especially if it's near my face, it seems like a lot of the spray just hits my face and then i get annoyed because when it dries, I feel like that it is going to clog my pores or something and then I start to get worried because my skin is oily-acne prone skin type and it breaks out easily.
Also, it seems really wet if you spray it more than 2 times in one section. But I usually section my hair and then spray it, comb through once or twice, and then wait about 10-15 seconds and then I comb through it again once, and then I run my straightener or curling iron through it.
Keep in mind that I hardly EVER curl my hair except for if I'm going out for halloween... or if I am super bored at home and I have nothing better to do, so I would just try curling my hair because I think it would be pretty fun to try out different curled hairstyles.
But I always straighten my hair. Almost everyday.
Anyways, I do recommend this product to anyone who is on a tight budget because this product I bought at my local shoppers drug mart store for only $4.00 and it was on sale! Normally it's like $7.00 CAD? I know at other stores, it is cheaper, and for the people in the united states, it's like $3.00? It's a lot cheaper in the states in my opinion, but here in Canada, it's not as cheap.
Plus its a basic heat protectant meant for all hair types.
Anyways, I personally give this product a 4/5 mainly because it works so well, and I love it!
Hopefully you all will enjoy it too!
